Our TAN vacation, June 18-25, 2010, brought us, for the first time, to Lake Tahoe, California. Our only regret is that we only have one week to spend in this paradise. We managed to fill every day with scenic hikes of spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, waterfalls, wild flowers in full bloom, old growth forests, national historic registry landmarks, and mountain lakes with isolated beaches for swimming, sunning, or water sports. Every sunset guaranteed a salute to the day\'s adventures. All of this was within a short distance of our TAN accommodations. Our TAN hosts, with 35 years of Lake Tahoe residency, were available to answer our questions, supply suggestions, and insights to the hidden secrets of the area. Once you visit Lake Tahoe in the summer, you will return, as we plan to in the near future. Maui, HI. My son Evan and daughter-in-law Linda have been married 25 years and have had many obstacles to overcome in their lives together, so for their 25th anniversary I treated them to a great week at the Maui Banyan. One evening we went into Lahaina town, where we found on the main street the painted pole announcing a club that has been in business for 25 years and thought it was perfect for their anniversary picture.

Downtown Disney, where we celebrated a 60th birthday at the T-Rex Restaurant, then, after some required shopping, rented a pontoon boat for a scenic \"cruise.\" The smiles tell the story of a great time, both there and at Little Harbor. It\'s proximity to Valrico, where the one daughter and son-in-law and twin graddaughters live, help make this an extra special place and destination.

Friday night at the Hotel Molokai is not to be missed. By 4 pm, the ocean-front restaurant boasts kapuna (elders) from all over the island gathering to celebrate old Hawaii through song, ukulele, and hula. At the end, as the dropping sun caused the sea and sky to blush, we all joined hands and formed a huge circle of fellowship.

During our trip to Deep Creek, Maryland, we went to hike Swallow Falls State Park. To get to this rock in front of the largest waterfall (50 foot and due to heavy rains, bursting with water), my daughter Bekah had to crab walk along the rock bottom. Once there, the waterfall seem to rush right down in front of her, showering her with light and water.

This is my daughter, Reagan, pretending that she is squishing the Ocracoke lighthouse. We were doing a lighthouse tour that day, and went 0 for 3: Bodie Island was under renovation, the Cape Hatteras lighthouse was closed due to thunder, and the Ocracoke lighthouse was closed, but with no explanation! A little bit of \"but we came all this way!\" but I think the picture helped a bit!

3 generations at fountain at forsyth park. Took mother, two sisters, my sons and nephew for vacation. My moms 88 and we wanted to take her to have time with her kids and family. This vacation was very special to her. The fountain is one of only three in the world.

After waking up extremely early to drive the hour to the top of Haleakala, we were greeted with the most beautiful sunrise atop the clouds!

The picture is of our daughter, Sarah, excited to be at the beach in Naples, Florida. She wanted to thank \"TAN\" by writing their name in the sand with her jumping for excitement! We reserved two units at Greenlinks Resort for our family and we had such a great time. The resort exceeded our expectations and our childrens. We will definitely visit Greenlinks through TAN again!
